Hi, my name is Sam Elbertsen. I’m a passionate (street) photographer and film maker based in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. On this website I present my work and you can buy prints in my shop or by sending me an e-mail.

My street photography is about presence without distraction. I observe from a distance and capture moments where people blend into their surroundings — distorted, reflected, or caught in shadow. It’s not the face that tells the story, but posture, light, and context. I search for atmosphere, for layers in the everyday, and for those brief moments where beauty reveals itself just before it disappears.
I bring this same approach to portrait and event photography — focusing on authenticity, subtlety, and the in-between moments that often say the most.

Feel free to contact me for photo and film assignments.
